A 50 Million Year Old Fossil? Friday, Nov 6 2009

A 50 million year old fossil? News broke a few months ago that they had discovered a 50 MILLION year old fossil. Every time I hear one of these stories I cringe, since it only reinforces in the minds of the masses that this world did NOT come into existence the way God, the Creator Himself, said it did in the Bible. It only bolsters the myth generations who have now grown up in schools have been taught, that we “evolved” from a drop of pond scum and that we are
little more than a genetic accident with no meaning or purpose.
Of course, to believe there is a 50 million year old fossil means you believe in the scientific dating method used to make that determination. Here is why carbon dating and all other methods used for dating these types of archaeological finds are flawed. When God spoke the earth into existence, it was created in a mature state. Unless you knew the mature age at the moment God spoke the world into existence, it is IMPOSSIBLE for any dating methods to be accurate!!!
There is probably nothing that angers me more than Christians, followers of Christ, who don’t have the guts to stand up for the Truth of the Bible. Believers who feel the pressure of this lost world we live in to compromise the immutable truths of the Bible. A new term we have created to talk about Biblical creationism is “intelligent design.” I get livid every time I hear that word used since we have created it solely for the purpose of being able to share our beliefs on how this world we live in and we came to exist. I submit to you today that “intelligent design” is simply a gutless word for those too afraid to say we believe what the Bible teaches about creation in Genesis 1-2:3!
There are two competing views on how this world and how we came to exist. One is the theory of evolution that suggests over millions of years we evolved. This is the position held by those in the scientific community that reject the notion of “God.” The other view is that there is a Supreme Being, a God who created everything. This is the position people of faith and those in the scientific community who accept the reality of a “God” hold. Let me end decades of
arguments on this issue right now and tell you exactly how this world and we came to exist. GOD TELLS US IN GREAT DETAIL IN GENESIS CHAPTER ONE THROUGH CHAPTER TWO VERSE THREE!
My friend, this world and all that is in it, including us, came into existence EXACTLY how the Bible tells us in Genesis 1-2:3! For every child and young adult out there that is in school, your homework assignment today is to read the first chapter of Genesis through the first 3 verses of chapter 2. Now you will never have to wonder or guess again how we came to be or how this world and all that
is in it came to exist. GOD SPOKE IT INTO EXISTENCE EXACTLY AS THE BIBLE SAYS! GOD CREATED MAN FROM THE DUST OF THE EARTH AND MADE HIM IN HIS IMAGE EXACTLY AS THE BIBLE SAYS! PERIOD! END OF DEBATE!
First of all, the theory of evolution is just that, a theory. A completely
foolish one I might add. Not only have a large percentage of those in the scientific community abandoned it, the only reason it is still taught is because those who reject the existence of God have to have some explanation how this world came to exist and how we came to be. That is why I pity those who champion this theory, since even they have no explanation when you take what they believe back to the very beginning.
They say we evolved from monkeys. As you walk them backwards all the way to the very beginning, you are still left with the unanswered question of where did that first cell come from? It is the same problem those who try to explain the existence of the earth and all that is in it without there being a “God.” You take them back to the very beginning and you are still left with the unanswered question of how did that first event come to be without the involvement of a “God.”
The biggest problems with those who hold to a position that this world, we, came into existence without a “God,” is that it means this is all an accident and we exist by mere chance with no real plan or purpose. If you believe we evolved from pond scum to monkeys, then our lives are utterly meaningless and this life has no purpose to it at all. For those who truly believe this, they are to be pitied among all men. What a sad existence if you go through this life believing you were an accident and your life has zero meaning or purpose.
That leaves us with the position held by those who do believe there is a “God” who created the earth and all that is in it, including us. I spent several semesters in seminary studying all of the various theories put forth to explain Biblically how the Bible could be correct and there could still have been million of years involved in the creation process. Theories that accepted the existence of a “God,” but not exactly how the Bible describes creation.
After many hours alone with the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, I came to one conclusion. THE ONLY ACCOUNT OF HOW THIS WORLD CAME TO EXIST AND HOW WE CAME TO BE WAS GOD’S ACCOUNT IN GENESIS CHAPTER 1! God literally spoke the world and all that is in it into existence in 6 literal days. and this world we live in is less than 7,000 years old!
Here is the problem if you take any other position. Once you start making excuses for what God’s Word says, once you start finding ways for it to say something other than what it clearly and literally says, you are now playing a dangerous game. If the Biblical account of creation is not exactly as God says, what else isn’t exactly as God says?
Did the walls of Jericho really come down the way the Bible says, or is there another explanation? Did the Red Sea really part as the Bible says, or is there another explanation? Did Noah’s ark really exist as the Bible says or is their another explanation? Did Jesus really rise from that tomb on the third day as the Bible says, or is there another explanation? ARE WE REALLY SAVED BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AS THE BIBLE SAYS, OR IS THERE ANOTHER EXPLANATION?
You see the problem? Once you start to doubt one part of God’s Word, you have to start to doubt other parts of the Bible. My friend, you are free to believe whatever you want about the creation of this earth and all that is in it, about how we came to exist. I am NOT going to argue with you. There are many great ministries out there that deal with these issues. There are tons of great books that go into great detail on this subject. I choose to put my faith and belief in God’s Word alone. I believe in BIBLICAL CREATIONISM. This world and all that
is in it and we came to exist EXACTLY how God says in His Word!
I love you and care about you so much. One hundred years ago, even those who rejected God and His Word knew that God created the heavens and earth and created them as well. Fifty years ago, those in the scientific community that rejected God was doing its best to propagate this laughable theory of evolution even though the vast majority of people thoroughly rejected it. Now, in 2009 after 40 years of no prayer and Bible teaching in school, having allowed society
to take God out of every aspect of public life, those who hold to the Biblical account of Creation are laughed at as narrow-minded mental midgets while those who “know how to think” hold to a theory that says we came from pond scum and makes our life nothing more than an accident with no purpose.
For those who know the Bible to be God’s inspired, inerrant Word, representing Absolute Truth and our final authority in all matters, we have NOTHING to apologize for and nothing to be ashamed of. We certainly have no reason to be trying to hide our beliefs by creating terms like “intelligent design” so we appear to be more intellectual to this nonbelieving world. The fact we are even discussing what is so clear from God’s Word only shows how void of God and His Truth our society has become.
The last thing those who know Chris as their Savior and hold to the Truth of His Word need to be doing is compromising or minimizing the power of that Truth. The world is HUNGRY for the truth we possess. The next time someone asks you how the world came to exist, how we came to be, tell them the answer is exactly as described in Genesis 1-2:3. God Himself tells us the answer and that is good enough for me!

Encourage Your Spouse Today Friday, Oct 23 2009

Each Sunday there will be a new service at 12:01am EDT at www.liveprayerchurch.com THIS DEVOTIONAL TODAY IS DEDICATED TO MY WIFE NAN. 26 YEARS AGO GOD GAVE ME THE GREATEST BLESSING HE POSSIBLY COULD WHEN HE GAVE ME NAN AS A WIFE AND PARTNER IN THIS JOURNEY. HER UNCONDITIONAL LOVE SUSTAINED ME IN MY DARKEST TIMES. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES IN MY LIFE THAT I CAN’T COME UP WITH THE WORDS TO EXPRESS WHAT I WANT TO SAY. SO LET ME JUST SAY THIS. I AM MOST BLESSED AMONG MEN. NAN, I LOVE YOU! GOD, THANK YOU! If you are married, you BETTER read this. Every word! If you are not married, you STILL better read it because one day you most likely will be. I have a question for you men. When was the last time that you told your wife how beautiful she looked? When was the last time that you told your wife that she was the most special person in the world? If your answer is anything but TODAY, you better stop whatever you are doing and tell her…right now! Do you remember when you were dating, and how you couldn’t wait to be with her? Do you remember how NOTHING in the world mattered but her? Do you remember that you would do ANYTHING for her? Do you still feel that way? If the answer is no, you need to get on your knees and pray for God to restore those feelings. Just because you are now married, you should feel the same way and even MORE. After all, this is the woman that God gave you to share your life with! She isn’t like that putter you used to like, but now is somewhere in the garage…forgotten. You made a vow before your wife and before God to love her, and to care for her, and to nurture her, until death do you part. How can you take the most special person in your life, the one that God gave you, for granted? Let me give you some advice. You better get on the phone and send your wife some flowers. Why? For no other reason but to let her know that you love her and care about her. You better quit ignoring her and her needs. You better start taking the same amount of time with your wife that you do with the other things that occupy your time. Women need to be reminded that they are beautiful. They need to be reminded that you care for them. While saying it is necessary, you better prove it with your actions. You are so wrapped up in your career, in your life, in the things that you are interested in, you are neglecting your wife. You better start making TIME for your wife. Make the effort to spend TIME with her, and TALK to her. Ok women, it is your turn. When was the last time that you told your husband how handsome he was? When was the last time you told your husband that he was the most special person in the world? If your answer is anything but TODAY, you better stop whatever you are doing and tell him…right now! Do you remember when you were dating, how you couldn’t wait to be with him? Do you remember how NOTHING in the world mattered but him? Do you remember that you would do ANYTHING for him? Do you still feel that way? If the answer is no, you need to get on your knees and pray for God to restore those feelings. Satan has done such a masterful job of destroying the beauty and perfection of God’s institution of marriage. He does it in so many deceitful ways. I get thousands and thousands of emails daily from husbands and wives whose marriages are in trouble. It breaks my heart. I personally counsel couples all of the time in this area. Making two lives become one is probably one of the most difficult things there is in life. It is always magical at first, but maintaining that magic is not easy. Making it last over time is the goal. That ONLY happens when Christ is the head of each one of your lives individually, and the center of your marriage. The greatest relationship that you will have in this life is with the Lord. After that, it is with your spouse. Just like you must take time to develop that close, intimate walk with Christ, you must also take the time and put forth the effort in your relationship with your spouse. I will be praying for all of you today that are married. There are two key elements in a successful marriage. TIME AND TALK. You MUST take time to be together each day, and you MUST talk to each other. Never forget, God gave you this special person for the rest of your life. Take every second that you can to be with that person. Life is short enough, and when it is over, it is over. Don’t waste one second that you can be together. Talk to each other. Communication is critical. Libraries are full of books on this issue, so let me close today with this simple word of encouragement. Take time today to make your husband or wife feel special. Let them know how much you care for them, and are thankful for them. MAKE THE TIME. Men, you better make sure every day that your wife knows how much you love her. Women, you better make sure every day that your husband knows that he is the most important person in the world to you. DON’T TAKE EACH OTHER FOR GRANTED! If you love each other as God calls you to in today’s passage of Scripture, your relationship with your spouse can be the most incredible thing in your life outside of your relationship with the Lord. We’re Not in the 50’s Anymore-Too Bad Thursday, Oct 22 2009

The freedom to proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is slowly being taken away . . . IN THE UNITED STATES! I really take no pleasure in saying, “I told you so.” It is amazing to go back over 10 yearrs of Daily Devotionals, and read the warnings I have shared with you regarding our ability to freely proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel message. I vividly recall countless emails telling me I was paranoid, this was the United States and this would never happen, and others who simply thought I belonged in a straight jacket. Well, let me take a moment and tell you where we are in the last days of October in the year 2009. Look at television. When you go back to the 50s and 60s, even into the 70s, you had incredibly powerful programs that gave a Christian perspective of life, had great moral messages, and a family could sit down and watch together. I submit to you today that NONE of those programs would ever see the light of day if they were being presented to the TV executives of today. What you get on TV today is a steady diet of sex and violence, and storylines and characters that are in blatant rebellion to God and His Word! For 5 yearrs, the Liveprayer TV program aired on a CBS affiliate in Tampa, live for an hour, 5 nights a week. It was an incredibly controversial program because it dealt with the issues of the day and in people’s lives from a Biblical perspective. Two years ago, the self-appointed watchdog group of the Muslim community, CAIR, now the target of many Federal investigations for their ties to terror groups, intimidated CBS into taking the program off the air because they want to silence anyone in the media who has the audacity to tell the truth about their 1400 year-old false relgion leading the souls of 1.5 billion followers to hell. You can still go to the Christian stations and preach to the choir, which is what 95% of Christians on TV do. After all, the lost on secular TV aren’t going to buy them new jet planes or help them live like rulers of small nations. So they completely abandon the marketplace and go into the “trough” where 99% of the viewers are already Christians. However, if you want to take the hope and love of Christ to the masses via secular TV, you have only one option. That is to come up with $1 million a month and understand you will have to find those who truly want to see God’s Word spread to the lost and hurting masses to help fund it, since you will never find enough advertisers with the courage to be associated with such a program, nor can you beg for money each night since that is exactly what will turn off the very people you are trying to reach. Oh, and even with the money, you will still have a VERY HARD time finding a network who will carry the program! This week or next, the Senate will pass the addition to the existing hate- crimes legislation to add gay, lesbian, and transgender people to that protected list. I have told you for many years now that it won’t be long before simply preaching against the sin of homosexuality from the Bible will land you in jail. President Obama, a strong advocate for the radical homosexual lobby in this nation will sign that bill and you will see very quickly how the gay community will use it as a hammer to silence people like myself who go into the marketplace and speak out against their sinful choice. They will claim that my speech induces people to violence towards homosexuals. This is how they will use this new bill to try and silence anyone who speaks out regarding this sinful choice. They will be very effective because you now have a generation of “faux” churches and pastors who actually support and glorify this sin. They make a mockery of Christ by doing so, but it also makes someone like myself who speaks out, look like a crazed hate monger who wants to see homosexuals beaten and killed. The reality is, we help men and women in bondage to this sin find deliverance and freedom through Christ every month. We minister to the broken lives of so many who have been bound by this sin. Yet, because we take a Biblical stand on this issue we are castigated and will be a very real target once this new legislation becomes law. Lastly, we are nearing a day I feared would come, and that is when the government would determine what content will be on the Internet. The million-dollar phrase is “net neutrality.” You can Google it, read both sides of the argument, but let me sum it up for you. The ultimate goal is for the government to determine what content can be on the Internet. Instead of running Liveprayer from an actual office, I see a day very soon when I will be using special connections linked to servers in foreign lands, having to use creative technology to get the Daily Devotiaonl out each day. THAT DAY IS NOT FAR AWAY! I love you and care about you so much. This is why I implore you daily to take your faith seriously. Speak out whenever you can. Don’t be shy about sharing God’s Truth with others. This is also why I challenge you to stand with me. God has given us a great platform to reach millions worldwide daily, and we MUST keep doing that while we still can. Will this become like China or North Korean where people like myself are put in prison for life, simply because I preach the Gospel? Not sure, but we are definitely heading in that direction. These are the last days, the time is short, our freedom to proclaim the Word of God and the love of Christ is disappearing right before our eyes. WAKE UP!!! As we come down to the last 10 days of October, we are still $25,000 short of meeting this month’s basic operational needs. I also need to bring in right at $80,000 that is from our monthly shortfalls throughout this past year. For 122 months now, I have simply shared our needs each month, never asked God for a surplus, only to meet that month’s needs so we could minister one more month. I am coming to you today because I desperately need your help. Many churches and ministries have had to close or dramatically cut back because of the current economic crisis. We have struggled too, but have kept forging ahead because now more than ever this nation needs a bold witness in the marketplace where few dare to go. I am praying today for God to move on hearts, and for the Lord to touch 2 or 3 who have the ability to send a gift of $5,000 or more immediately. Christ. When I first started getting your devotional about 4 months ago I was bound up in sin Drinking every night, looking at porn all the time, being nasty  to people. That was the norm for me on a daily basis. I have been away from God for many years and the devotionals started speaking to me on a personal level like GOD was sending me a message every day. I remember one day at work, I work for a retirement community, I took a resident to the bank and was waiting on her in the lobby of the bank. I opened the devotional for the day on my blackberry, the devotional was about porn and how this was wrong in Gods eyes. Let me tell you I asked for forgiveness in that lobby and was set free from the bondage. From there God has taken me through leaps and bounds. You have helped through God lay a foundation in me. Thank you for doing an amazing work every day by
bring the truth and gospel to the lost.”

The fact is, less than 1/4 of 1% of the people we minister to every give to God’s work here at Liveprayer. Most reading this have been blessed by our work here, yet never given to help us. If everyone would simply drop $1 in the mail today, $1 that you will not even miss, it would add up.  The Bible teaches to give according to our ability to give.  God knows your heart, it is not the amount but your obedience.

Please do not ignore this email.  I really despise having to send an email like

Rejecting Jesus Monday, Oct 19 2009

DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY OCTOBER 19, 2009

The saddest people on earth are those who have rejected Jesus and have
chosen to put their faith in some “god of this world” that is not real.
Sadly, it will only be at the time of death that these people realize they
have put their faith in a false god. A wasted life, but more sad, a soul
lost for eternity that Jesus gave HIS very life for.
However, it is no surprise that many today reject Jesus. The men of His day
also rejected Him. When given the choice, a “poll was taken” amongst the
people and they chose a common thief and lifetime criminal instead of the
Lamb of God. It was the rejection of those of His day that led Jesus to die
on a cross. However the fulfillment of God’s plan was to give sinful man a
way to be reconciled to their Creator by their faith in HIM.

Every day, I receive at least 1,000 emails of the 40,000 that we get daily,
from people who have rejected Jesus. The top 3 reasons that “I am wrong” are
1) “I can’t be a Christian because you are all hypocrites”, 2) “the Bible is
a book of fables written by men”, 3) ” a loving God would never condemn good
people to everlasting darkness”.

First, I have done entire Devotionals on following THE MAN and not a man.
YES, Christians are hypocrites, because Christians are human. If you are
basing your eternal soul and your faith, on a mere man, you will be
disappointed EVERY TIME!!! ONLY Jesus lived this life perfectly, which is
why our faith is in HIM and not some man. Man will fail 100% of the time,
Jesus will fail . . . NEVER!!!

Second, I challenge anyone who disputes the Bible as the inerrant and
inspired Word of God to go to your local Christian bookstore and get any of
a number of books on that issue. The FACT IS, any credible research and time
into trying to disprove this FACT, will only show you that the Bible is
truly God’s inspired, inerrant Word. It is supported by science, archeology,
and the real life experiences of millions and millions of people over
centuries that have understood God’s plan is the ONLY WAY to live this brief
journey successfully!

Third, while God is a ‘loving God”, He is also a HOLY GOD! It is sin that
separates us from God. It is because that He is a ‘loving God’ that He made
a plan of salvation for His fallen creation. By faith in His Son Jesus
Christ, we can be once again reconciled to God our Creator. However, God, in
His love, gave us free will. The choice to love Him is NOT HIS, but ours.

I love you and care about you so much. I have one word for those of you who
read these words and reject Jesus, reject God. Have the guts to simply say
‘I reject HIM!!! Quit hiding behind weak arguments like it is the hypocrisy
of Christians that keeps me from being a Christian. The Bible is not really
true. God will save everyone. Those are simply weak excuses to excuse your
unbelief!!! I challenge you today. Do your homework and accept Him or reject
Him on what YOU believe. It is God who gave you the choice to accept Him or
to reject Him. If you make the choice to reject Him, simply say I choose NOT
to believe.

NO EXCUSES. NO BLAMING SOMEONE ELSE. SIMPLY SAY . . . I CHOOSE NOT TO
BELIEVE.

The fact is, one day each one of us will die. On that day, we will stand
before God and give an account for our life. God is not going to be
interested in your excuses. You either accept His free gift of everlasting
life through His Son Jesus Christ, or you reject it. It is your choice. God
is not going to be interested in your excuses. NOW . . . TODAY is your
opportunity to either accept Him or reject Him This is the most important
decision that you will make in this life. Choose today . . . accept Him . .
. or reject Him . . . but make no excuses either way!!!

Pray Without Ceasing Sunday, Oct 18 2009

There is one thing that I am certain of today, as you read this Devotional
you have already or will throughout the day, face various problems. I am not
talking about the major issues we often have to battle like a serious health
problem, a crisis in our marriage, a major financial challenge, not having a
job, being in bondage to some sort of addiction, but about the small day to
day problems that come out of nowhere and have to be dealt with.

As you know, there is virtually no end to these types of problems. Losing
our keys, misplacing our wallet, something going wrong with our car, getting
a traffic ticket, something breaking in our home, spilling our coffee in the
morning, our computer isn’t working, unexpected issues at work or school, a
confrontation with someone we meet, having a routine dentist appointment
turn into something more involved, stubbing your toe, not getting the apple
pie you ordered in your McDonald’s lunch bag, or your pet is sick . . . I
could go on for hours but I think you get my point.

There are so many things in our life that happens every day; just in the
course of living through another 24 hours. Many of these things are totally
out of our control and simply problems that we never expected but are
suddenly confronted with. I find that for many people, simply dealing with
the day-to-day problems life throws at them can be very challenging and
often overwhelming.

This is one of the reasons that I frequently tell you we must have a real,
committed, 24/7 relationship with the Lord. It would be nice if all of our
problems occurred at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning, but that is not reality. The
problems of life happen daily, and all throughout the day. I counsel people
to start their day in prayer and in the Word of God. It is not only the best
way to start your new day but it will give you the focus and strength to
deal with whatever problems life may throw at you during the course of that
day

Paul said to, “Pray without ceasing.” I take that LITERALLY. I wake up each
morning in prayer and never hang up the phone. I spend the entire day with
that line to God open. God has given us the greatest resource there is in
the world, a direct line to Him. We are fools if we don’t take full
advantage of it. There is nothing in your life that you will face that is
too big for God to handle or TOO SMALL!

You have got to understand, God cares about you! He loves you! God cares if
your keys are lost. God cares if your car won’t start. God cares if you
spill your coffee. God cares if your hot water heater isn’t working. God
cares if your boss is giving you a hard time for no reason. God cares if you
have a cavity. God cares if your apple pie is missing. God cares about every
detail in your life. He loves you that much.

I love you and care about you too! I realize that you are facing lots of
challenges in your life today, many of those challenges you never even
expected when you woke up. I want to encourage you to “pray without
ceasing.” Start your day in prayer, reading God’s Word, and spend the
entire day with that line to God OPEN. Prayer demonstrates our dependence on
God. When we don’t pray, we are depending on ourselves. John 15:5 tells us
“without me, you can do nothing.” Why be so foolish to try and deal with the
day-to-day problems of life alone, when God is ready, willing, and able to
help us?

I will be praying for you today. Praying that no matter what problems life
may throw your way today, you will find your strength, hope, and answers in
the Lord. You will be amazed how much easier every day is when we are
operating in His strength and not ours. You will be amazed at how much more
peace and joy there is every day, despite the problems of life, when we are
relying on God and not ourselves.

This could be one of the most profound words I have ever shared with you
because it is so relevant and necessary to our daily lives. The key to
knowing God’s peace, joy, and the abundance of this life is by living each
day in constant communication with Him. Start your day in prayer and keep
that line open ALL DAY LONG. It won’t make the problems of life go away but
it is how you can live each day no matter what problems life may throw at
you.

Fired For Preaching Too Much Jesus? Thursday, Oct 15 2009

Fired for too much Bible and too much Jesus! Robert Schuller announced
several months ago that he was firing his son from preaching on the “Hour of
Power” TV program, just 3 years after he stepped down from the weekly
service that originates from his Crystal Cathedral in Southern California.
The elder Schuller is part of the Masonic cult and a protege of another
Masonic cult member, Norman Vincent Peale, who was an absolute heretic and
taught philosophies in complete rebellion to the Truth of the Bible.
Schuller preached his “you can do it, positive mental attitude philosophies
with a few Bible verses sprinkled in to a national audience weekly for the
past 4 decades. His program highlighted many high profile Christians, as
well as many of the modern New Age gurus whose books he proudly sells in his
church’s bookstore.

Over the past several years, viewership of the weekly “Hour of Power”
program has been down, which means their donations have been down, causing
them to cut the program from it original hour to a half hour in many
markets. Schuller, Jr. preached a much more Biblically based message than
his father, staying away from much of the ear tickling New Age rhetoric his
father delivered for so many years. Schuller, Jr. actually said Jesus often
in his messages, something his father rarely did. In the end, it wasn’t
about God’s Truth but ratings and dollars. Schuller, Jr. learned the cold
hard lesson that the Truth doesn’t sell as well as the lie does and his
father is more interested in money than in bringing God’s Truth into
people’s lives.

It is now being reported that neither Schuller will preach on their TV
broadcast, but that they are going to bring in outside preachers. I was not
surprised that the two names mentioned were Bill Hybles of Willow Creek in
suburban Chicago and Rev. Kirbyjohn Caldwell who pastors the largest United
Methodist Church in the nation located in Houston, Texas. Hybels is one of
the founders of the seeker church movement, meaning he will preach some
watered down message designed not to offend anyone. Caldwell is a very
prominent supporter of Barack Hussein Obama, so no doubt he will preach a
typical religious left social message.

So rather than using this weekly vehicle to bring the Truth of God’s Word
into people’s lives, call sin what it is and allow the Holy Spirit to bring
people under conviction, the program will deteriorate into a weekly showcase
of gutless preachers who will never look into the cameras and preach the
Truth of the Bible, nor will they look into the cameras and tell people that
without Jesus they will die and go to hell, and than give them an
opportunity to accept the Lord as their Savior by faith. As a side note, I
won’t be waiting by my phone for a call from the Crystal Cathedral to come
preach on their TV broadcast. If Schuller, Sr. fired his son, I can’t
imagine what he would do to me!

I love the interaction in Luke 19 with Jesus and the Pharisees as they were
complaining to Jesus about His disciples who were declaring for all to hear
His miracles and without shame praising His name! We are His disciples and
that is what we should be doing. Telling others how Jesus has changed our
lives and praising Him before this lost world we live in. Jesus told the
Pharisees that even if all His disciples were silent, the very rocks would
cry out!!! My word for you today is simply this. Tell others what Jesus has
done for you and boldly declare to this lost world that Jesus Christ is our
only hope and our only answer.

Some may ask why we have been commanded to tell others about our faith in
Jesus. The answer to that question is found in the book or Romans, in
Chapter 10 verse 14 where God’s Word says, “How, then, can they call on the
one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom
they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to
them?” How can we expect someone to get saved if they have never been told
how? How are they suppose to be told how to get saved unless some person
tells them? God’s Word is clear that all of those who know Jesus as their
Savior have been called to tell others about His love. This is not just the
job of the pastor or evangelist, but ALL who call Christ Lord!

My friend, listen to me carefully. The only message we have is JESUS. Let me
say that again. The ONLY message we have is Jesus. Robert Schuller, Sr. is
just another world-pleasing motivational speaker unless he tells people
about Jesus. Robert Schuller, Jr. is just another guy who can talk unless he
tells people about Jesus. The pastor of your local church is no better than
the drunk at the local bar unless he tells people about Jesus. Bill Keller
has NOTHING to tell over 2.4 million world wide every day via email unless
he tells people about Jesus. YOU have nothing but empty words for people
unless you tell them about Jesus. We have no message other than the message
of Jesus!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Pray for the Schuller family. This
decision had to cause some strain on their relationship as a father and son.
Pray also that God will bring Schuller, Sr. under conviction to leave the
Masonic cult and use whatever time he has left to preach the unadulterated
Truth of the Bible and lead people to faith in Jesus. Pray for his son that
he will not be deterred by these events in his service to the Lord, and that
he will never compromise the Truth of the Bible just to please men, even his
father

I want to challenge you and encourage you today to become BOLD in declaring
Christ to those God has put into your life. Your family, friends, neighbors,
those you work with or go to school with, people you recreate with, in
addition to the people you simply meet in the course of your daily life ARE
THE VERY PEOPLE GOD HAS ALLOWED TO CROSS YOUR PATH, NOT BY ACCIDENT, BUT TO
TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS!

Telling others is not an option, it is a commandment for all of those who
know the Lord as their Savior. How can we expect someone to get saved unless
they are told how. You are the one God has put in their life to tell them
how. I pray today that you will hear these words, take this challenge, and
begin to make it a priority in your life each day to tell others about
Jesus. We have no message other than Jesus, and if we won’t declare His
goodness and grace, if we won’t praise His name, the very rocks will cry
out!!!

***As we are 14 days into the 122nd month of Liveprayer , we still have to

fallen behind since January . I’m simply asking you to pray today and seek
the Lord what He is calling you to do to help me during this month to insure

To Tell The Truth Tuesday, Oct 13 2009

Over the years critics have called me ego driven. I have to laugh since those who truly know me realize there is nothing further from the truth. Those who make those charges simply fail to understand all that I do is geared around only one thing….to bring Christ into the marketplace. Last Thursday, I was on the Howard Stern radio program for about 30 minutes. We talked about a variety of current issues, however the entire interview that was heard by millions of Stern’s faithful listeners boiled down to the last 15 seconds. I have an audio clip of those last 15 seconds for you to listen to. It personifies what Liveprayer is all about. From this appearance.last week we received over 3,000 emails. Half were from people who simply hate God and the Christian faith, but the others were from people sincerely reaching out and looking for the hope only found in God’s Truth and Jesus Christ. I deal every day with the death threats, the abuse, the financial challenges, to be able to have these 15 seconds to reach more lost and hurting people who need Jesus than 95% of churches and ministries will in 100 years. A true spiritual leader is one who has the courage and intestinal fortitude (guts) to take a stand for God’s Truth regardless of what people think, say, or do. A true spiritual leader is never going to win any popularity contests since the masses live in rebellion to God’s Truth. A true spiritual leader is not concerned with the temporal things of this world, so he can’t be bought. A true spiritual leader will be hated, reviled, attacked in every way, and literally give his very life for the Faith. A true spiritual leader is accountable to and answers to only one person…GOD!!! It was sickening last week to see Pastor Rick Warren on “Larry King Live” say, “I wrote to all my gay friends – the leaders that I knew – and actually apologized to them.” For what? For taking a Biblical stand on one of the issues that is literally ripping out the soul of this nation and causing the judgment of God on our land? I tried for years to warn people about this man who enters into unholy associations for his own benefit. Warren is more concerned with the feelings of men than the feeling of God. He is more concerned with advancing his global social agenda than the agenda of God. He actually bragged about not being an anti-gay activist and that this issue was not important to him. He said battling homosexuality was not part of his agenda. Verbal and physical violence is the usual response against those who have the courage to tell the Truth. Let me be blunt. The number one reason YOU don’t witness your faith like you should is the fact you don’t want to be verbally assaulted by your unsaved family members, friends, co-workers, classmates, neighbors, or simply those God allows to cross your path. It is much easier to simply say nothing than to take the verbal abuse that often comes with sharing your faith. Let me ask you a serious question, one that I want you to pray about today. Are you more worried about what someone will say to you or pleasing God? That is a question only you can answer, but one you need to pray about. Since Christians virtually abandoned the culture decades ago, the voices in the world today are all voices who deny God, reject His Truth, and mock His Son. Turn on any secular television program, radio program, read any secular publications, and what you get is a steady diet of images and messages in rebellion to God’s Truth. Let me give you a great example. Political satirist Bill Maher has a program on HBO that deals with the political and social issues of our day. He openly mocks Christianity and uses his “pulpit” to blast Believers and mock the Truth. TEN TIMES more people read the Daily Devotional each day than watch his program, yet Maher has been given a HUGE VOICE in the marketplace by the secular media to spew his hatred for Christ, God’s people, and the Truth of God’s Word he has rejected. This is why those who God raises up in leadership positions have got to be true spiritual leaders. Not leading people in our self-created “trough,” but boldly and visibly leading people in the marketplace. I know personally of 3 current programs on TBN that have had to change their programs to comply with TBN’s “Muslim friendly” requirements. I have told each of them personally they are gutless cowards to let anyone stop them from telling the Truth. They are more worried about being on TBN so they can generate donations, product sales, and attract people to their public appearances than they are telling the Truth. The few who have ventured into the marketplace have done so with a watered-down, politically correct, “positive” message that insures nobody is offended. The problem with that is the Bible itself states that the Truth is offensive to those who reject it. How can you preach the unadulterated Truth of God’s Word and not offend people? The goal is not to offend but to tell the Truth as God has clearly stated it, however, the result of telling the Truth is that people will be offended. Look at what happened to those who heard Stephen simply state the Truth. They got so “offended,” they literally took him to the edge of the city and stoned him to death! The word I have for you today is this. Don’t wait for someone to lead you. You already have your marching orders from the commander-in-chief Himself! We have been ordered to go out into the highways and byways and bring in the lost. God ordered us to go into the world and preach the Gospel. Don’t wait for someone to lead you, as the Nike commercial says, JUST DO IT! Go forth knowing that the arm of the Lord is with you. Know up front that you will be attacked as you enter the battle field. However, God told us in Ephesians 6 that our battle is not with flesh and blood, that it is a spiritual battle. He also has equipped us with all needed to fight and win! Let me give you a personal testimony. Since Liveprayer began nearly 10 years ago, more than 5 million subscribers to the Daily Devotional have unsubscribed. There are a multitude of reasons, but from the feedback we receive well over 90% of them unsubscribed because they disagreed with what God said in His Word on a particular issue. You see, I could simply play the game, tell everyone how wonderful things are, give them a nice positive message every day, not deal with the hard realities of life, and probably have over 4 million subscribers. But I don’t do this every day for numbers, or to make people laugh, but to bring God’s Truth into people’s lives. Less than 1/4 of 1% of the people we reach EVER give a dime to support God’s work here. I know from feedback a huge percentage will NEVER give to the work here because of the Biblical stands I take on the issues of the day. Again, I am not here to see how much money I can raise, but to bring God’s Truth to people’s lives. Out of the 40,000 plus emails we get each day, several hundred are some of the most vile and hateful things you can ever imagine. 8 to 10 times a month I have people literally threaten my life for simply sharing the Truth of God’s Word in the Daily Devotional or on the television program. The point is, you get used to the attacks, they are simply part of taking a stand for Christ. You can’t let it bother you. You have to have faith God is watching over you, and ultimately, you can never forget you aren’t here to please men but please God! Don’t forget, you have the TRUTH of God on your side. Your job is simply to share that Truth with the lost and hurting. What those who hear the Truth do is than between them and God. You can’t save anyone. You can’t force someone how to think. You can’t make a person act a certain way. Your job is simply to go forth and present the uncompromised Truth of God’s Word. Never forget, you don’t have to apologize for telling the Truth!!! I love you and care about you so much. Even as I type these words, God is already raising up men and women who will without shame or fear or compromise, lead His people in these last days. They will be men and women above reproach, not dazzled by the trinkets of this world, but only concerned about serving their Lord. They won’t be interested in the applause of men, only the “well done” from God Himself. They won’t be preaching a “feel good” message to tickle the ears of the masses, but the hard Truth of God’s Word. You won’t find these men and women in the “trough,” they will be in the public square, taking on the mouthpieces of satan who seek to lead the souls of men into eternal damnation. They won’t have to ask you to follow them, you will WANT to follow them because you will know they are from God! In the meantime, know that despite those who God raises up to lead, ALL of His children have been called to serve Him. As a follower of Christ, you don’t have the option of sitting home and watching, you have been commanded to serve. Know that God will guide you each day in your service, use you right where you live, work, and play. The greatest thing a servant of God can do is simply be a vessel of God’s Truth. Now more than ever, there is a void of Biblical Truth in the marketplace. If each follower of Christ would simply do their part in sharing that Truth, the world won’t just be hearing the lies of satan, but also the clear Truth of God’s Word. I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will open your heart and hear God speaking to you today to step up and make a difference with your life. EVERY CHILD OF GOD HAS BEEN CALLED TO SERVE, AND EVERY CHILD OF GOD CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Know that you will be attacked for taking a stand for Christ, but that God will watch over you. Know that people may dislike you, even hate you for telling them the Truth, but your goal is not to please men, it is to please God. Pastors That Never Give The Invitation To Accept Jesus Saturday, Jun 21 2008

How many pastors NEVER give those they preach to an invitation to accept
Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? Today, I must address what to me is
the biggest problem in the church today, since it goes to the root of the
church’s greatest responsibility and that is to bring the lost to faith in
Jesus Christ. I realize the church is to spiritually feed its members, to
equip the saints for service, to be a place where Believers can find
fellowship with other Believers, and where most followers of Christ serve
Him. However, without question the most important job of the church is to
reach out to the lost and hurting and to help lead people to the saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of their sins, and God’s free
gift of everlasting life through faith in His Son!

This is a message that percolated for several years now, and finally reached
the boiling point in January of 2006 during the various services held in
memory of President Gerald Ford. While those memorial services for President
Ford led me to finally bring this word to you, its genesis was in the daily
contact I have with thousands and thousands of people all over this nation
and around the world, the first hand knowledge I have of tens of thousands
of churches, and the spiritual malpractice well over 50% of pastors commit
each and every Sunday.

Having started my public ministry in the great city of Chicago in 1992, I
studied in great detail the life and ministry of D.L. Moody. One of my great
honors early in my ministry was to preach on several occasions to the
students at the Moody Bible Institute and preach a mid-week service at the
great Moody Memorial Church. One of the events that greatly impacted the
life and ministry of Moody was the night of the Chicago fire. It was Sunday
night, October 8, 1871, and as Moody finished his sermon, he told the crowd
who had gathered to hear him preach to evaluate their relationship with
Christ and return next week to make their decisions for Him. That crowd
never gathered since during the night the building they were meeting in was
consumed by the fire and it would be months before they would find a new
place to hold their services.

Moody would never again make the grievous mistake of sending home those who
came to hear him preach without giving them an invitation to know Jesus as
their Lord and Savior. The Bible proclaims that TODAY is the day of
salvation. The Bible teaches that tomorrow is promised to NONE of us. Moody
was haunted by the question, how many people who would have been moved by
the Holy Sprit to walk the aisle and give their life to Christ on that
infamous October night, never did so and died in their sins, lost for all
eternity?

Dwight L. Moody would not even recognize the vast majority of “pastors”
today. Men, and now women, who preach a watered down message, using secular
books for their references rather than the Bible. “Pastors” who stand in the
pulpits of America and refuse to even deal with sin since it might offend
people. The ones who make a mockery of Christ by condoning, accepting, and
even glorifying gross sins like homosexuality and the slaughter of innocent
babies. And what I am certain would break Moody’s heart, “pastors” who
preach Sunday after Sunday and NEVER give an invitation for those they are
preaching to, to accept Jesus as their Savior by faith.

During the first 3 yrs of my public ministry, I preached in over 500
churches all over the nation. All types of denominations, racial and ethnic
make-ups, churches with thousands and churches with less than 20. It was
during those years I had my first insight into how many churches rarely, if
ever gave those who gathered on Sunday an opportunity to accept Jesus as
their Savior by faith. Over these past 8+ years of Liveprayer, in dealing
with literally tens of thousands of people first hand, thousands upon
thousands of churches all over this country and around the world, I would
not hesitate to estimate that in well over 50% of churches, those who gather
are NEVER given the invitation to ask Jesus into their heart and life by
faith and become born again…NEVER!

I remember watching much of the memorial services held at various churches
for President Reagan back in June of 2004, and then in January ‘06, watching
all of the various memorial series held for President Ford. I heard one
“pastor” after another speaking, waiting for just one, just one, to at least
have the guts to tell those listening what Jesus said, “I am the way and the
truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” There was
one who actually did cite that passage, but had the audacity to leave off,
“No one comes to the Father except through me,” I am sure afraid of
offending someone in the audience. How offended will those people be when
they die without Jesus and are spending eternity in hell because some
gutless “pastor” refused to tell them the Truth?

I gave up hope long ago on seeing even one of these “pastors” with the world
watching on these special occasions, actually doing what God has called them
to do and sharing the Gospel. Simply telling the people that if you die
without Jesus you will be lost for all eternity. My goodness, you have the
“pastor” of the largest church in the nation who goes on television often
and actually brags that he doesn’t talk about sin and refuses to answer the
most basic question of the Christian faith which is that faith in Jesus is
the ONLY way men can be saved and those who choose to reject Him will be in
hell. These men dishonor Christ and the Bible clearly says those who have
taken on the mantle of leadership will be held to a much higher standard.
God will hold them accountable one day.

This problem in the pastorate has all unfolded over the past 40 years. Most
of the mainline denominations began to require their pastors to have a
seminary education, but they did not state which seminaries. As the nation
began to rebel against all authority in the mid ’60s, that included
rebelling against God and the Truth of His Word. Liberal seminaries popped
up that denied the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture. Men no longer
needed to be “called” by God, but simply complete the required education. I
am convinced there is a percentage, larger than you might think, of
“pastors” in this nation who are not even saved!

Once you reject the authority of the Bible, it opened the door to women
“pastors,” “pastors” who condone sins like homosexually and abortion,
“pastors” who quoted secular books as well as books used by the false
religions of the world more than the Bible, “pastors” who refuse to deal
with sin, and “pastors” who have never given an altar call or led a lost
soul to faith in Christ in their life!

You also have “pastors” like Joel Osteen who have never even been to Bible
college! It is no wonder he has no grasp of theology. He majored in
broadcasting in college and ran his father’s television ministry until
taking over as “pastor” after his father’s death. Being a pastor is not like
running the family business. You can’t simply wake up one day and decide to
be a pastor, though sadly many do. Let me ask you a question. Would you want
someone operating on your heart who has never been to medical school, but
simply woke up one day and decided they wanted to be a heart surgeon? OF
COURSE NOT! Yet people put their eternal souls in the hands of “pastors”
every day who have never even taken a Bible college class!

Listen, I am not saying you have to have the alphabet following your name to
be qualified to pastor a church. However, if you have truly been called, God
will guide you to the formal theological training you need to at least
properly preach and teach His Word. There is so much more that goes into it,
but you have to have at least a basic theological education from a
legitimate Bible school that holds the Bible to be God’s inspired inerrant
Word, representing Absolute Truth, and our final authority in all matters.

Anyone who answers the call of God to preach His Word has the fundamental
responsibility of preaching the Gospel and leading the lost to faith in
Jesus Christ. A pastor who ends a service without giving an invitation to
accept Christ to those he is preaching to is committing spiritual
malpractice, and as one of God’s watchmen, God WILL hold them accountable
for those who die and spend eternity in hell because they refused to tell
them how to be saved!

I love you and care about you so much. I am going to make a very bold
statement right now. If you are going to a church where you rarely, or even
worse, never, hear your pastor give people the invitation to ask Christ into
their hearts and lives, you need to confront your pastor why not. There is
NO reason not to. It is his job. In fact, it is probably the most basic and
fundamental part of his job. If he did nothing else but that, he would be
fulfilling God’s calling on his life. You need to hear his explanation for
why he refuses to obey God, and then you need do pray if that is really the
church God wants you and your family to be part of.

Also, the next time you are in church, look around you. Look at the people
around you and ask yourself how many of those people are NOT Believers, who
have never given their heart and life to Christ by faith. Ask yourself how
many of those people will die and spend eternity in hell for their rejection
of Christ. Pray for them to hear the Gospel clearly presented. Pray for them
to allow the Holy Sprit to open their heart to God’s love for them. Pray for
them to surrender their life to Christ by faith and be saved

Lastly, if your pastor is one of these pastors who never gives an invitation
at the end of his service, forward this Devotional to him, or her, and pray
they come under conviction. I already know I am going to take TONS of heat
for this message. That is OK. I have to be obedient to God. I am almost
certain you have NEVER heard a message like this before and never will
again. People are too afraid to say what needs to be said. I can’t stay
silent because the eternal souls of men are at stake.

Those God has called and given the honor to preach, can be used by Him to
bring many lost souls to faith in Jesus Christ. That won’t happen by
accident, it won’t happen by putting on a great performance, it won’t happen
by tricking them, and it won’t happen because you made them feel good. The
only way a person will get saved is if you love them enough to share with
them the simplicity of the Gospel They need to admit they are a sinner and
need a Savior and that Christ’s loves them unconditionally and wants to have
an eternal relationship with them.

It is the job of ALL Believers in Christ to share the Gospel with the lost.
However, there is NO EXCUSE for any pastor to hold any type of service and
not give those who attend the opportunity to ask Christ into their heart and
life by faith and be saved!

False Religions Saturday, Jun 21 2008

The false religion of Islam, and the courage to tell 1 billion people that
they are going to hell. Like all false religions and cults, it has a human
founder. Islam was born out of the rebellious heart and mind of a man named
Muhammad, a Mecca businessman that lived from 570-632 a.d. Muhammad claimed
to be a prophet like those in the Old Testament and wrote his “revelations”
down in a book called the Qur’an. In reading the Qur’an, it becomes clear
that it is nothing but Mohammad’s warped philosophy of life based on his
rebellion to the one true God of the Bible, and is little more than a poor
imitation of the Old Testament.

THE QUR’AN IS NOTHING BUT A WORK OF FICTION THAT IS NO MORE INSPIRED THAN
HARRY POTTER OR A HARLEQUIN ROMANCE NOVEL!!!

What confuses many people about the false religion of Islam is their god who
they call “allah.” This happens because people who are either theologically
ignorant or trying to be politically correct, speak of the God of the Bible
and allah as if they are the same person. Let me make certain you understand
something very clear, allah and the God of the Bible are NOT the same
person!!! If you study the attributes of the God of the Bible and the
attributes of the allah of Islam, it is crystal clear that these are two
entirely different entities. There is only ONE GOD, that is the God of the
Bible. The allah of Islam is nothing but a creation out of the imagination
of Muhammad, no different than Mickey Mouse who was a creation out of the
imagination of Walt Disney!!!

The bottom line is that all men are sinners. We are born in the sin we
inherited from Adam, we sin throughout our life, and even the Bible tells us
that we have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. My friend, it
is that sin that separates us from a Holy God. But God in His infinite love
for us, made a way for His fallen creation to be reconciled back into an
everlasting relationship with Him. He did that by sending Jesus Christ to
die for the sins of all mankind. Those who follow the false religion of
Islam claim that Jesus was a great prophet but deny His deity. Jesus was THE
Prophet, but more important, He was THE SON OF GOD!

Muhammad was nothing but a false prophet, a mere man who lived and died like
you and I. He was born with the same sin that you and I are born with. That
is why faith in Mohammad cannot save you. It was JESUS who God sent to this
earth in an immaculate way to be born without the sin we inherited from
Adam. It was Jesus who lived a sinless life so that He could go to a cross
2,000 years ago and give His live as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all
mankind. That is why it is only faith in JESUS that can save you!!! At that
moment when this life is over and we stand before God there is only ONE
question He will ask us, DO YOU KNOW JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR BY FAITH?

I love you and care about you so much.  I pray today that those people
around the world who have put their faith in Muhammad and the false religion
of Islam will open their hearts and turn from that lie and to the Truth
found in God’s Word, coming to know Jesus Christ by faith as their Lord and
Savoir.

I can assure you that as long as I have breath, I will continue to proclaim
to this lost and dying world that there is only one name by which men can be
saved, and that is the name of Jesus. Buddha can’t save you, Muhammad can’t
save you, the false god of Joe Smith and the Mormon cult can’t save you, the
false god of Charles Taze Russell and the Jehovah Witnesses cult can’t save
you, the false god of Mary Baker Eddy and the Christian Science cult can’t
save you, the fantasies of L. Ron Hubbard and the Scientologist cult can’t
save you, no my friend, there is only ONE WAY to be saved and that is by
faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone!!!
